Temple Speedrun Obby
Temple Speedrun Obby is a side-scrolling parkour game built around chasing the perfect run. Each level is a hand-crafted stretch of stylised temple ruins where players run, jump, and climb their way to the exit while dodging classic obby hazards such as spike traps, swinging clubs, crumbling platforms, and pools of bubbling lava.
The core loop centers on mastery. Every level is timed, so the real game starts on the second attempt: learning the rhythm of each trap, finding cleaner lines, and shaving seconds off a personal best to climb the leaderboard. The side-scrolling camera keeps the focus tight on movement and timing, making each run feel readable and replayable.
For this project, I was responsible for the full solo development of the game, including game design, gameplay systems, code development, art production, UI, and level design. I modeled the traps in Blender using a consistent stylised look, and laid out each level by hand to balance pacing, hazard placement, and speedrun routing.
